Bybit withdrawal held in compliance review: 27,576.98 USDT released
A withdrawal stopped during compliance review while the account itself kept working normally. After our submission the transfer was approved and broadcast on-chain. This is a different mechanism from an account freeze, and it fails for a different reason.

What happened
The withdrawal was held during compliance review. We submitted to the exchange on the client's behalf, the transfer was approved, and it was broadcast to the network — 27,576.9793 USDT via Ethereum (ERC-20), confirmed by Bybit's own status change to “sent”.
Why a withdrawal is held when the account looks fine
A hold at the withdrawal step is not an account freeze. You can still log in, still trade, still see your full balance — only the transfer out enters manual review. The common triggers are a destination address carrying its own risk score, a first withdrawal to an address the account has never used, an amount that is an outlier for that account's history, a device or country change shortly beforehand, or simple periodic sampling. Because nothing about the account appears broken, this is the case people are most likely to wait out. That is the failure mode: a compliance hold has no built-in expiry, and an unanswered one can sit indefinitely.
What actually moves a held transfer
The submission has to be about the transaction, not about the account — that is the distinction that decides whether it lands with anyone who can act on it. In practice that means establishing what the destination address is and that it belongs to you, documenting the origin of the specific balance being moved, and putting it in front of the queue that handles transaction review rather than general support. Filing it as an account complaint is the most common way a straightforward hold turns into a months-long ticket thread.
The evidence
Outcomes depend on the exchange, the reason for the freeze, and the specifics of each case. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
